I’ve just tried ordering a lipo for my battery shield and because royal mail will not touch them now , they have to send it via ups , so a £10 battey costs £17 to send.
A couple of years ago I orded a pair of 8600 4 cell lipo’s which are 1kg each battery from hobbyking on free post ,which came via the royal mail. Good times eh ?
Exactly these things led Particle to pull their Power Shield from the store, due to the excessive cost impact of delivery for the bundled LiPo.
Proto-pic (UK) have a DPD courier charge of GDP 4.67 A bit cheaper than others I’ve found.
