I haven’t seen anyone else mention it here, so I thought I’d pass along the news that Daniel Garcia, the original author of the FastLED library, has died, a victim of the horrible boat fire near Santa Cruz Island a few days ago.
I know many of us here have used FastLED over the years. That work will be carried on by co-author Mark Kriegsman and others in the community, but Daniel’s contributions will be sorely missed.
Condolences to the family and friends of Daniel, his partner Yulia, and all the other victims of that tragedy.
