Did version 0.6.1 just deprecate Particle.publish MY_DEVICES now only PRIVATE works

Using version 0.6.0 this compiles

int myA0 = analogRead(A0);

Particle.publish(“A0”, String(myA0, DEC), 60, MY_DEVICES);

but it does not compile in version 0.6.1

However this does compile

int myA0 = analogRead(A0);

Particle.publish(“A0”, String(myA0, DEC), 60, PRIVATE);

Which actually makes a lot of sense, but breaks my old code. Is their a plan to still allow MY_DEVICES as equal to PRIVATE for backwards compatibility?

I don’t think “my devices” was ever a thing for publishes. It’s a thing for subscriptions though. As far as I’m aware, it always had to be “private” to begin with.

OK. Then, I think I better change my old code, since who knows what it was doing. It never used to generate an error, so it is probably good that it now does.
