Hey guys,

I setup local compiling through Netbeans (on Windows) following excellent video tutorial:

> **[How to video for compiling locally in Windows](https://community.particle.io/t/how-to-video-for-compiling-locally-in-windows/2457)**

> Here is a video link i made showing all the steps needed to compile locally on windows. The IDE is Netbeans v7.4. You can compile and download to the spark core all within the IDE. You dont need the command line for anything anymore. The IDE even...

I also ported my app from Arduino. I would like to setup debugging now, so I could step through my programs. I searched forums, but it seems that complete end to end setup for NetBeans doesn’t exist, only for Eclipse and is quite scattered around and what I understood this is not an easy thing.

Is anyone working on setting up fully functional local IDE?

As a first step I understood I will need your Programming Shield and a programmer such as this one:

> **[ARM-USB-TINY-H](https://www.olimex.com/Products/ARM/JTAG/ARM-USB-TINY-H/)**
>
> Low-cost high-speed ARM USB JTAG (supported by the OpenOCD arm debugger)

If I use your programming shield, can I still have my sensors connected to Spark Core while debugging?

Thanks!
Milan

@mdma, @Bdub or @satishgn should be able to give a tip or 2. 😉
