Boron LTE CAT-M1 (NorAm) versus Boron LTE CAT-M1 (NorAm) with EtherSIM data useage

Is there any difference in data use between the 2 Boron models? I have the same firmware running on one of each and while one has only consumed ~5MB, the etherSim model has consumed nearly 4X as much, ~20MB.

Thank you

There should be no difference in data usage. The models are identical except for the SIM.

There is a possibility that the EtherSIM Boron LTE (Cat M1) will connect to T-Mobile in the US instead of AT&T, but this should not affect data usage.

Noted. Thank you for the reply

This could be also a problem with the signal quality. Are they on the same network?

@Colleen both devices are connected to AT&T LTE. Although they are some miles apart and on different towers. Funny thing is, the “non” EtherSim that is using less data is the one that is advising “This device may be experiencing lower-than-optimal Cellular signal. Devices in low connectivity environments may exhibit disconnects, long roundtrip times, and/or difficulties communicating with the Cloud.” I can DM the the information to you if it helps.
Thank you

In the case of low connectivity environments usually cause that the data consumption increase because the device uses more data to maintain the connection.

@ismaelSB That is what makes no sense. The non EtherSim is the one with low connectivity and yet is using a quarter of the data that the EtherSim product is using.

That is odd, for sure. Yes, please DM me the info.

@Colleen You should have it. Thank you
