Has anyone added a credit card reader to your project with the photon? I’ve searched the forum and came up empty, is it not something you guys find useful, or is the cloud maybe not secure enough to send the data over?
Probably nobody came with a need of such device. What do you intend to do with your project?
Are you forwarding the credit card number to an external service through the cloud?
I’ll go through a third party payment processor, may be able to do that through webhooks, I haven’t finalized all of the software structure because I wasn’t sure if it is possible. I would have units set up with different selectable buttons, have the customer pick which service they would like, swipe their card and after it is approved, activate the appropriate pin.
