I had the same ‘SDK location not found’ problems. Placing the example app in the Windows root directory seemed to help e.g. C:\spark-sdk-android-master
I’m having problems now with a fresh install of Android Studio on Windows 10:
Not a particularly helpful message as it doesn’t say which Gradle Plugin is causing the problem…
